Nelson Plumbing is proudly New Zealand owned with over 59 years combined experience in the trade. Our Motto is “Done once, done right” and we stick to that. We have a wide range of experience from working on different boats to working with medical gas to standard plumbing and mine work.

MEET OUR TEAM
Steve Parkins
I started my plumbing and gas fitting apprenticeship back in 1983 with A&T Burt’s – this was completed in 1987. A&T Burt’s were the Commercial Plumbers and Gasfitters in Nelson. From 1996 I was working as a licensed plumber and gasfitter doing all types of domestic, commercial, hospital, gold / coal mines and ship plumbing – gas fitting, diesel burner maintenance, medical gases, stainless steel welding and gas appliance servicing. From 1993 I became partner / owner of Nelson Plumbing and Heating Ltd. and then in 2001, Nelson Plumbing Ltd.
2011 became a certified gasfitter.
2013 became a certified plumber.
2014 become IQP in backflow prevention.
2016 CP in medical gases.
I enjoy spending time with my wife Anita, son Tony, daughter Skye and step-daughter Kelsi. I have interests in boating, fishing, diving, jet skiing, hovercrafts, classic cars, and rock ‘n’ roll.
Troy Stevenson
I started my plumbing and gas fitting apprenticeship with Nelson Plumbing Ltd in 2005. I gained my national certificates for plumbing and gas fitting in 2011 and became a licensed plumber and gas fitter in 2013. In 2016 I became partner of Nelson Plumbing Ltd.
I have been at Nelson Plumbing for sixteen years now and have gained many different skills from the wide variety of work we undertake.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing sports, fishing and boating.
Anita Franicevic – Administration
I joined Nelson Plumbing in March 2022 after 5 years as an administrator in the construction industry.
Prior to that, I have had various administrative roles since a career change in 2009.
I am married to Steve (Nelson Plumbings Certified Gasfitter/Plumber/part owner).
I am an ex musician/singer so love music (mostly 50s-90s). I enjoy rock and roll dancing, and classic cars, so attend lots of dances and car events/hops. You may even see Steve and I around town in my 1957 pink Cadillac, dressed up in 50s gear to match!
